Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to app.la-route.app and the la-route indoor-cycling service. The contract is with the service provider identified in the Legal Notice. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. Your account is personal and may not be transferred. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement; where applicable, a parent or guardian must consent.

la-route turns a compatible indoor trainer into a Ride through a generated 3D World. Features can include trainer control, sensor input, Routes, Workouts, Ride history, account export and user-created Worlds.

The service is currently a beta and is offered free of charge. If paid features are introduced, their price and additional conditions will be shown before you purchase them. Internet, hardware and third-party connectivity remain your responsibility.

Indoor cycling is physically demanding. Use stable, correctly installed equipment, keep the area around the bike clear and follow the trainer manufacturer's instructions. Stop riding if you feel pain, faintness or unusual shortness of breath and seek medical advice when appropriate.

la-route is a fitness service, not a medical device. Power, heart-rate, training-load and other values may be incomplete or inaccurate and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment or an emergency decision.

Do not misuse the service, interfere with its security or operation, access another person's account, scrape it at scale, introduce malicious code, or use it in violation of applicable law or third-party rights. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users.

You retain rights in Worlds, Routes, text and other content you create. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, copy, process and display that content only as needed to provide, secure and improve the la-route service. The licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to technically necessary backup cycles and legal retention duties.

You must have the rights needed to upload or create your content. Do not submit unlawful content or content that infringes another person's rights.

We aim to keep la-route available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, security work, provider outages and beta changes may temporarily limit the service. We may change or discontinue features for operational, security or product reasons.

If a change materially disadvantages you, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

You may terminate this agreement at any time by deleting your account in Settings. We may terminate or suspend it for a material or repeated breach, a serious security risk, or where we are legally required to do so. Except in urgent cases, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy a breach.

The statutory rules on liability apply. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is prohibited by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, fraud, or mandatory product-liability rules.

German law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence. Nothing here restricts a consumer's statutory place of jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms for legal, security or product changes. We will give reasonable notice of material changes and ask you to accept a new version where required.
